TSUNAMI DISASTER AID EFFORT
The Miami-based
international web company Link2City has announced
a program effective immediately that will help
fund the American effort to provide disaster
relief to the survivors of the devastating tsunami
which struck shorelines across South Asia last
December.
“The magnitude of the disaster, the death toll,
and the critical need survivors have for basic
essentials has not been overlooked by this company
and its employees,” says company CEO Danny Sibai.
The company will be donating 10 percent of new
fees from existing clients, and 10 percent of any
invoice for new clients to the American Red Cross
disaster fund through the end of February 2005.
“We fully recognize this could have happened to
us. No country, company nor people are
invulnerable to natural disasters. We are adding
our funds to the aid effort, and encourage others
in the business community to do the same,” says
Sibai.
The company has also created
hyperlinks at its website
www.link2city.com for
companies or individuals to make donations
directly to the American Red Cross, and to other
websites for news updates about the on-going
crisis and relief efforts. Sibai says the company
chose to support the American Red Cross effort in
view of its hands-on experience and on-going
efforts. “We wanted to put our funds where they
would do the most good,” he adds.
The company has five offices
world-wide, and serves clients throughout the U.S.
and Europe with domain name registration, hosting,
design, development, e-commerce applications,
search engine marketing and other services. |
