Windows Mobile
Service
Overview

Using Exchange
Server ActiveSync, Windows Mobile puts the power of Windows
software into Pocket PC or SmartPhone-enabled devices,
helping you manage personal and professional communications
and information. These devices help you stay in touch with
available e-mail messaging, Web browsing, even reading and
editing of Word and Excel files on the go. Windows
Mobile-based solutions can keep your mobile employees
connected to the people and information they need to move
your business forward. Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync is a
protocol that allows applications to talk directly to the
Exchange Server. Your ActiveSync enabled-device can
synchronize with your e-mail, calendar, and contacts. It is
easy to read all your e-mail, including HTML messages and
attachments.
Your employees
can also stay in touch with colleagues and customers as they
travel from location to location with their web-browser
enabled mobile device and Outlook Mobile Access (OMA). With
OMA you can establish a real-time connection to your
Exchange Server.
